- Restaurants located in hotels — all restaurants operating within hotel premises, regardless of size or cuisine
- International restaurant chains — both franchisees and franchisors
Restaurants in air-conditioned malls — outlets situated in AC shopping malls across Sindh- Online marketplace restaurants — restaurants selling through food delivery platforms
In practice, SRB has been steadily expanding enforcement, so if your restaurant deals in significant volume or sits in any of the above categories, you should confirm your status and integrate. When in doubt, it is safer to check early than to receive a compliance notice.
- Register your branches and POS stations on the SRB POS portal using your Sindh National Tax Number (SNTN).
- Verify your details; SRB sends login access to the SRB-POS portal.
Integrate your POS with SRB’s Sales Data Controller (SDC) — done remotely by your service provider.- Configure branch details, POS station IDs, and tax settings per SRB requirements.
- Go live — each completed order is reported to SRB in real time, printing a fiscal invoice number and QR code on the receipt
Once live, your team keeps billing exactly as before — there are no extra steps at checkout. If the internet drops, a good system keeps printing receipts and syncs with SRB when the connection returns. For a full overview of the setup, see our SRB integration page.
